Junior Golf Program

JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS AND PLAY DAYS 2010

Junior Golf Clinics will be held on Tuesdays from 8:00am-9:00am and will focus on all aspects of the game including rules, etiquette and scoring.  Juniors will be separated by age and ability, into Four Levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum (please see the chart below). Each group will work on the fundamentals of golf.  The lower level groups will have less technical instruction, while the upper levels will incorporate more detailed lessons.  The lower level groups will have more golf-related activities so the lessons are more fun and less competitive.  The last clinic in each month will be a skills challenge to evaluate the progress of the juniors.

Following Junior Golf Clinics will be Junior Play with tee times from 9:15am-10:15am. Juniors will be allowed to play 2, 4, 6, 9 or 18 holes depending on their age and ability level. The Junior Golf Staff would like parents to volunteer to help us monitor the juniors while on the golf course. There will be additional play days throughout the year on select Thursday and Friday mornings.

Junior Play Days will be on select Thursday mornings throughout the summer.  Once the Juniors have teed off, the Junior Golf Staff along with help from parent volunteers, will walk with the Juniors to monitor play.  Juniors will be responsible for recording their scores in a Junior Handicap Log, which will help the Junior Golf Staff evaluate the players and see when students need to move up to the next level.  Incentives may be available for students ascending to the next level.
